Wade Errin Silvey
January 25, 1961 — June 10, 2026
It is with deep sorrow and heartfelt love that we announce the passing of Wade Errin Silvey, who left this world peacefully on June 10, 2026, surrounded by the serene beauty and exceptional care provided by the OhioHealth Hospice House. Wade was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was born on January 25, 1961, in Ohio to his cherished parents, Larry and Larue Silvey.
Wade was a man who embodied a zest for life, never afraid to embrace the wild side and always ready with a captivating story or a joke to lighten the mood. His larger-than-life personality and quick wit endeared him to everyone he met. He touched the lives of so many with his humor and warmth, leaving a lasting impression that will be cherished forever.
A proud graduate of Dixie High School, Wade pursued his passion for welding, mastering various techniques with high marks. His exceptional skills led him to work on jet engines for the military, a testament to his dedication and expertise. Wade's hands were not only adept with welding tools but also tender as he tended to his small garden, finding peace and joy in nurturing life.
Wade's heart belonged to his beloved wife, Lora, who predeceased him. Together, they shared a mutual love for Harley Davidson motorcycles, embarking on countless adventures, and joining meetups with fellow enthusiasts. The memories of their rides will forever echo the joy and freedom they felt on the open road.
In addition to his passion for Harley riding, Wade was an avid poker player, whether online or in person, and he cherished the camaraderie and thrill of the game. He also enjoyed the occasional sip of moonshine, savoring the spirit of life in every sense.
Wade was an active member of the Elks Lodge in Grove City, where he found a community of friends who shared his love for fellowship and fun. He treasured these moments and the bonds he formed there.
Wade is survived by his loving brothers, Jeff and Ann Silvey of Phoenix, Arizona, Craig and Sandra Silvey of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Rod Silvey of Phoenix, Arizona. He also leaves behind his Uncle John Williams and his family, who were dear to his heart. Though Wade had no grandchildren, his legacy lives on through the stories and laughter he shared with his family and friends.
A private funeral ceremony will be held in his honor on June 19, 2026, at 1:33 PM. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at the OhioHealth Hospice House for the exceptional care provided during Wade's final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that those who wish to honor Wade do so by sharing a story, a laugh, or a ride in his memory. Wade Errin Silvey will be remembered as a man who lived life fully, loved deeply, and brought joy to all who knew him. His spirit will forever ride alongside us in the wind.
