Virginia Lucille Dearman

It is with heavy hearts and profound respect that we announce the passing of Virginia Lucille Dearman, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. Virginia passed away peacefully on July 27, 2026, at the age of 94, surrounded by her loving family. Her departure leaves a space that will forever be filled with the warmth and love she shared throughout her life. Born on November 22, 1931, in Stillwell, Oklahoma, to Orville and Ruby Stacy, Virginia was a beacon of love and resilience. She married the love of her life, Thomas William “Tom” Dearman, on July 9, 1951. Together, they built a beautiful life in Sand Springs, gracing their home with laughter and love for 68 years. Tom preceded her in death, along with their son, Tommy Dale Dearman; two grandsons, Travis Austin and Terry Moreino; and her beloved parents. Virginia is survived by her children, who were the light of her life: Billy Dearman; Linda and her husband, Dwight Austin; and Sharan Wilkerson. She was a devoted grandmother to five grandchildren: Stephanie Washburn, Lisa Barnes, Michelle Stites, Travis Austin, and Terry Moreino, and a proud great-grandmother to 19 great-grandchildren, each of whom she loved "WHOLE BIG BUNCHES." Working at Hissom Memorial for 30 years, Virginia was admired for her dedication and care. Beyond her professional life, she was an active member of the Pretty Water Free Will Baptist Church in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, where her beautiful soprano voice was a gift to all who heard it. Virginia was a lover of life's simple pleasures. Her days were often spent tending to her beloved chickens and working in her yard, where she found peace and joy. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her garden and into the hearts of all who knew her. A celebration of Virginia’s life will take place on August 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service, located at 211 E. Broadway, Sand Springs, OK 74063. Friends and family are invited to gather and remember the remarkable woman who touched so many lives with her kindness and unyielding love. In lieu of flowers, the family lovingly suggests donations be made to a charity of your choice, in honor of Virginia's generous spirit. Virginia's legacy is one of love, endurance, and unwavering faith. Her gentle spirit and compassionate heart will be dearly missed but never forgotten. As we say goodbye, we hold tight to her memory and the lessons of love and family she instilled in all of us. May her soul find eternal peace.
