Virginia passed away peacefully at her home on June 2, 2026, at the age of 90. Her journey began on May 31, 1936, in the serene town of Palmyra, Wisconsin, where she was born to her loving parents, Clarence and Evelyn Vollmer. Virginia was a bright beacon of warmth and hospitality, earning her the endearing nickname "Sunshine." She possessed an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome and valued, a testament to her boundless kindness and generosity. Her gentle spirit and unwavering compassion touched the lives of all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. Virginia's life was a tapestry woven with love, family, and cherished memories. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, John Smith, with whom she shared a deep and abiding love. Together, they built a family rooted in love and respect. Her son, Daniel Paul Domenosky, and her siblings Carol (Virgil) Davis, Joyce (Bert) Hoover, and Butch Vollmer also preceded her, each leaving a profound impact on her life. Virginia's legacy lives on through her surviving family members, who will continue to honor her memory. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Debra (Tom) Green, Susan Garbers, and Mari Beth Domenosky. Her love and wisdom have been passed down to her 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, each of whom carry forward her spirit and values. Virginia lived a life filled with purpose and fulfillment. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, where laughter was a constant companion and love was always abundant. She was a pillar of strength and grace, whose presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew her. In celebrating Virginia's life, we remember the small gestures that made her so special—the way her eyes sparkled with kindness, her comforting embrace, and her unwavering support for those she loved. Her legacy is one of love, resilience, and an unyielding commitment to family and friends. As we say farewell to our beloved Virginia, we find solace in the knowledge that her light will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were touched by her presence.
