Virginia Grembla

Virginia Grembla, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully at her residence on September 7, 2026. Born on December 28, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois, Virginia was the cherished daughter of John and Sophie Jaisonowski. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, her brother John Jaisonowski, and her devoted husband, Lewis Grembla, with whom she shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. Virginia found joy and fulfillment in her family, leaving behind her son, Steve Grembla, who was the light of her life. She was a proud grandmother to LeAnn Grembla, and the loving great-grandmother to one great-grandchild. Her family extended to her dear nieces and nephews, with whom she shared many cherished memories. Her early life in Chicago paved the way for a lifetime of kindness and generosity. Virginia attended Kelvyn Park High School, where she began cultivating her enduring qualities of empathy and resilience. She later embarked on a career at Motorola and other customer service establishments, where her warm personality and dedication shone through. Virginia's hands were never idle. She had a passion for crocheting, crafting beautiful blankets that were treasured by all who received them. Her generous spirit was evident in her dedication to the community, as she frequently donated her time and resources to various charitable organizations. Her heart was especially attuned to animals, and she was a committed supporter of Save A Pet in Grayslake, Illinois, as well as local churches, and St. Jude's. Those who knew Virginia remember her as a person who always sought the beauty in life and the good in people. Her capacity to care for others was boundless, often reaching out with a simple call to check on loved ones. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. A service to honor Virginia's life will be held on September 22, 2026, at 9:00 AM at Grove Memorial Chapel, located at 1199 South Arlington Heights Road, Elk Grove Village, Illinois 60007. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Save A Pet, a cause dear to Virginia's heart. Virginia Grembla's life was a testament to the power of love, compassion, and community. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and her spirit will continue to touch lives for generations to come.
