Virginia B. Anderson
August 31, 1936 — June 23, 2026
Virginia B. Anderson, a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed this world on June 23, 2026, in the comfort of her own home. Born on August 31, 1936, in the picturesque town of Ogden, Utah, she was the cherished daughter of Edward R. Burch and Hulda Hansen Burch.
Virginia's life was a testament to love, family, and community. On May 29, 1953, she exchanged vows with the love of her life, Donald Lee Anderson. Together, they built a legacy of love, laughter, and adventure, sharing 62 years of marriage until Don's passing. Virginia and Don shared a passion for travel, often setting off in their cherished motorhome to explore the beauty of the world around them, creating countless memories along the way.
A dedicated professional, Virginia served with distinction at the IRS for 21 years before retiring. Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life, as she was an active member of several organizations that enriched her community, including the Washington Terrace Jaycettes, Footprinters, Elks, and the National Federal Employees Union.
Virginia's warmth and vitality touched all who knew her. She had a zest for life that was infectious—quick with a Hot Wheels Track and known for initiating water fights and late-night bowls of ice cream. Her home was a hub for family gatherings, where she often enjoyed playing spades and sharing her joy with those she loved. Fiercely protective, she embodied the spirit of a "Momma Bear," always ready to lend a helping hand and stand up for her children.
Virginia is predeceased by her husband, Donald Anderson; her parents, Edward and Hulda Burch; her sister, Jacqueline Mount; her brother, Richard Henry Burch (Renee); her sister, Linda Lee Kruitvosch (Dennis); and her grandson, Christopher Anderson. She leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory: her brother, David Edward Burch (Patricia); her daughters, Christy Jean Keithley (Dan), Ginny Lee Anderson, and Dawnette Dickinson (David); her sons, Don Casey Anderson (Karen) and Edward John Anderson (Sharon).
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Virginia's remarkable life at a service on June 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindquist Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Washington Terrace Jaycettes, Footprinters, and Elks Lodge, organizations close to Virginia's heart.
Virginia B. Anderson's legacy will endure in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her life was a beautiful journey filled with love, laughter, and the unwavering belief in the goodness of people. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
