Vincent W Mottola
April 30, 1931 — May 7, 2026
It is with heavy hearts but with deep appreciation for a long life lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Vincent "Vinny" W. Mottola, who left this world surrounded by family. Born on April 30, 1931, in the city of Boston, Massachusetts, moving to Boca Raton Florida in 1990.
Vinny was the son of Agnes (Rossi) and Joseph "Pepo" Mottola, whose spirits he joins in eternity. He is also predeceased by his sister Joanne (Mottola) Kennedy and his former wife Ruth Dalton Mottola. He is reunited with his beloved wife, Millie, with whom he was married to from 1988 until her passing on December 7, 2025.
Vinny's legacy lives on through his family. He leaves behind his three sons, Vince Mottola Jr and his wife Kelley of Boston, Keith Mottola of Palm Springs CA and Sean Mottola and his wife Angeline of Palm Springs CA. Vinny leaves behind two grandchildren, Derek Mottola and his wife Juv of San Francisco and Daryl (Mottola) Claro and her husband Tony of Hopedale, MA, their three children and Vinny's great-grandchildren, Lucia, Joey and Alana. Vinny is also survived by his cousins Marie (Mottola) Chalmers of Roslindale, Linda (Mottola) Heroux of Laconia NH, Stefana “Nina” (Mottola) Salvo of Peabody, Jean Dellacamera of Florida and Maine, Dianne (Mottola) Stanziani of Peabody, Lillian (Mottola) Biancuzzo of Roslindale, Anthony Tranfaglia of Easton and Lenny Mottola of Lowell.
Educated at East Boston High School, Vinny's early years were marked by a sense of duty and service. He answered the call to serve in the United States Navy during the Korean War, embodying the values of courage and commitment.
Upon his return to civilian life, Vinny built a career centered on hard work and reliability. He spent many dedicated years at Duddy's Tires in Boston before transitioning to the United States Postal Service both in East Boston and Highland Beach Florida, from which he retired after a fulfilling career.
Vinny was not one to be idle and his time was filled with his community in Boca Raton, enjoying bowling, cards and social gatherings.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity of choice in Vinny's name.
