Born on May 20, 1954, in St. Louis, Missouri, Vincent's life was a tapestry of kindness, dedication, and unwavering devotion to his family and community.
Vincent was the beloved son of Steve and Joy Renner, nee Stu, and was welcomed into the world in the vibrant city of St. Louis. He was predeceased by his loving parents and his dear Uncle Jay Renner, whose memories he cherished dearly.
A devoted husband to Marie for 53 wonderful years, Vincent's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. Together, they built a nurturing home filled with laughter, warmth, and love. Vincent was the proud father of eight daughters, each of whom he adored: S, K, J, C, R, L, H, and N. His legacy of love and kindness continues to flourish through his four grandchildren and his great-grandchild, who brought immense joy to his later years.
Vincent's academic journey led him to Southern Illinois University Carbondale, where he graduated in 1976 with a bachelor's degree. He dedicated 40 years of his professional life as a compassionate funeral director, where his gentle demeanor and empathetic nature provided solace and support to countless families in their times of need.
An active member of his community, Vincent was a proud member of the Optimist Club and Rotary, and a devoted parishioner of St. Catherine Catholic Church. His faith was a guiding light in his life, inspiring him to lead with humility and grace.
Vincent's love for the outdoors was evident in his passion for golf and boating, where he found peace and joy in nature's embrace. He was a family man at heart, always prioritizing the happiness and well-being of those he loved.
In accordance with his wishes, a private ceremony will be held to honor Vincent's remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, an organization close to Vincent's heart.
Vincent Renner will be remembered as a pillar of strength, a beacon of kindness, and a man who lived his life with integrity and love. His legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we mourn his passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the everlasting impact he made on the world.
