It is with heavy hearts, yet gratitude for a life well-lived, that we announce the passing of Vincent J Clay, who left this world on April 11, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on October 15, 1968, in Pensacola, Florida, Vincent was a beacon of strength, kindness, and unwavering love to his family and community. Vincent was the beloved son of the late Teddy and Janie Clay. He was predeceased by his cherished parents and his oldest brother, Earnest L. Vincent's legacy of warmth and generosity continues through his surviving family members, who include his treasured children: Vanishia Clay, Desiree Clay, Vincent Williams, JaiShawn Williams, Gabriel Williams, Latikia Allen, and Raquel Allen. His love and wisdom are carried forward by his eight beautiful grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life. Vincent is also survived by his devoted siblings: four sisters, Finna Clay, Betty Clay, Janie Clay, all residing in Cantonment, Florida, and Jackie Clay of Pensacola, Florida. His three brothers, Robert Sr., Larry Clay, and Carl Purifoy, along with a special bond shared with special cousins Isabella Stonewall, Mark Moore, and Leon Bonner, will forever hold him in their hearts. Additionally, his brothers-in-law, Brian and David Tompkins, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, celebrate his memory and the laughter he brought into their lives. Vincent's life was enriched by friendships that stood the test of time. His special friends Ray Williams, Mike Fountain, Don Brown, Andre Moore, and Johnie Wilson were not just friends but family, and they will deeply miss his presence. Vincent's life was a testament to resilience and love—a legacy that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a man of deep faith and integrity, who found joy in the simple pleasures of life and in the love of his family and friends. A service to celebrate Vincent's remarkable life will be held on April 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Wards Temple A.F.M COG, located at 806 Muscogee Rd, Cantonment, FL 32533. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the memory of a truly remarkable man who touched so many lives with his grace and kindness. In this time of sorrow, let us also remember the joy Vincent brought into our lives and the love he freely gave. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him.
