Born on March 2, 1960, in Los Angeles, California, Vincent was the beloved son of the late John and Barbara Blakely. Vincent's life was marked by service, generosity, and a joy for life that touched all who knew him. After graduating from Bassett High School in La Puente, California, Vincent pursued a path of service to his country. He served honorably in the U.S. Army from 1978 to 1982, and later, in the Marines from 1983 to 1986, displaying a steadfast commitment to protecting the nation he loved. Following his military service, Vincent embraced a diverse career, sharing his talents and compassion with many. He worked as a chef, where his culinary skills brought people together over delicious meals. His role as a caregiver highlighted his nurturing spirit, and as a bus driver, he safely transported countless individuals, always with a welcoming smile and a quick joke to brighten their day. Vincent was a dedicated member of the Veterans Affairs community in Los Angeles, where he found camaraderie and support among fellow veterans. His cheerful disposition and readiness to lend a helping hand endeared him to many, making him a respected and beloved figure. In his leisure time, Vincent found peace in fishing, often spending serene hours by the water, and found joy in music, which filled his life with rhythm and melody. Known for his infectious smile and light-hearted humor, Vincent was the life of the party, spreading laughter and warmth wherever he went. Though Vincent never married or had children of his own, he devoted much of his life to his family, especially his nieces and nephews, who cherished their Uncle Vince. He is survived by his brothers, Francis and Anthony, and his sisters, Stephanie, Maria, Vanessa, Anna, and Mia, who will forever hold his memory close to their hearts. In honoring Vincent's legacy, the family suggests that donations be made to a veterans' organization of choice, reflecting his enduring commitment to his fellow servicemen and women.
