Vincent Lopez, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, at his home in San Jose, California, surrounded by the love and warmth of his family. Born on December 14, 1964, in Monterey, California, Vincent was the beloved son of Antone and Peggy Lopez. His early years in Monterey were filled with the love and laughter that would define his character and life.
Vincent was preceded in death by his devoted parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lopez, and his dear sister, Mary Speer. His memory lives on through his son, Vincent W. Lopez Jr., daughter, Melissa L. Lopez, and cherished grandson, Cyrus Lopez, all of San Jose, California. His legacy of love and laughter continues with his brother, Tony, and sister-in-law Donelle Lopez of Ceres, California; sisters Luanna and Marcel Chambers of Stockton, California, Laures and Jeffery Stiles of Los Banos, California, and Pamela Lopez of Everett, Washington. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who will fondly remember his kindness and humor.
Vincent's life was a testament to dedication, service, and joy. He graduated from Milpitas High School in 1983, following in his father's footsteps by serving in the Army from 1984 to 1990. His military service took him to many countries, broadening his horizons and deepening his appreciation for life's simple pleasures. After fulfilling his duties, Vincent embarked on a 30-year career with the Plumbers Union, where he built not just structures, but lasting friendships and a legacy of hard work.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Vincent's heart belonged to his family. He adored spending time with them, imparting wisdom to his grandson, Cyrus, and sharing his love for peanut butter and cooking. Vincent had an infectious laugh and a love for music that brightened the lives of everyone he met. His ability to make people smile, even in the toughest times, was a gift that will be deeply missed.
A service to celebrate Vincent's life will be held on July 7, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the St. John Rec Center, located at 279 S. Main St, Milpitas, CA. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and to honor the vibrant spirit that Vincent shared with the world.
