Victoria N. Frantz

May 7, 1933 — March 21, 2026

It is with heartfelt sorrow and profound gratitude for a life beautifully lived that we announce the passing of Victoria Frantz on March 21, 2026. Victoria departed this world peacefully at her Seattle home, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family, just as she had lived her life—embraced by those she cherished. Born on May 7, 1933, in Seattle, Washington, Victoria was the beloved daughter of Victor and Inez Olson. She was a proud graduate of Garfield High School, where she cultivated her lifelong love of learning and nurtured friendships that would last through the decades. In 1952, she married the love of her life, John Frantz, with whom she shared a blissful marriage until his passing. Together, they raised their two cherished children, Darcy Fulcher (Larry) and Jeff Frantz (Lisa), who carry forward their mother’s legacy of kindness and compassion. Victoria, affectionately known to many as "Vic," dedicated much of her professional life to "Ma Bell," where she began her career as an information operator. Her tenacity and dedication saw her rise through various administrative positions until she transitioned to part-time work in 1963, eventually retiring in the 1970s. Her career was marked by her unwavering dedication and her ability to bring a touch of joy to every task she undertook. A devout member of St. Benedict's Catholic Church, Victoria was a guiding light within her community, attending services with her beloved John for many years. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life and a source of solace and strength. Victoria was a woman of boundless positivity, consistently finding and sharing light wherever she went. Her home was a haven of acceptance and warmth, where everyone was made to feel welcome. She was a fierce advocate for the underdog and taught her children the importance of empathy and understanding, often reminding them to "put yourself in the place of others." Her joy was magnified through the love she shared with her five granddaughters and five great-grandchildren, who were the apples of her eye. She was also a cherished sister to her surviving brothers Neal Olson (Sharon, deceased), Albert Olson, and James Olson (Gale), and a beloved aunt to many nieces and nephews. Victoria joins in eternal rest her dear husband John, her siblings Stephen, Fred, Joseph, Lillian Burdick, Ilene Brown, and her Aunt Helen McDonald. Her spirit, however, remains a vibrant presence, forever uplifting those she leaves behind. A memorial service to honor Victoria's life will be held at St. Benedict's Catholic Church on July 10, 2026, at 12:00 PM. The church is located at 1805 N 49th St, Seattle, WA 98103. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Victoria's kindness are warmly invited to attend and celebrate her remarkable life. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to a charity of your choice in her memory, as a way to continue her legacy of love and compassion. Victoria Frantz will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her life was a testament to the power of love, empathy, and unwavering positivity.
