In Loving Memory

Victor Manuel Skinner
March 14, 1961 — October 12, 2026
In loving memory of Victor Manuel Skinner, who graced this world with his presence from March 14, 1961, until October 12, 2026. Born in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, Victor's life was a testament to love, dedication, and faith.
Victor was the beloved son of Rosa Delia Marin Skinner and the late Pablo Estrada. He was predeceased by his cherished father and his dear nephew, Javier Marin. He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Guadalupe Skinner, with whom he shared 39 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, raising five loving sons: Alex, Adrian, Jorge, Victor, and Edgar. His sons, along with their spouses and partner—Brenda, Judith, Molly, Samara, and Janireth—were a source of immense pride and joy to him. Victor was also the proud grandfather to six adoring grandchildren: Kiara, Diego, Kevin, Emily, Jovani, and Emilia.
Victor's journey was filled with the love of a large family, including his siblings Guillermina Skinner, Jacqueline Marin, Eva Marin, Norma Marin, David Marin, Sergio Marin, Pablo Estrada Jr., Omar Estrada, Norma Estrada, Lulu Estrada, and Ana Estrada. His mother, Rosa, and her husband, Victor Marin, also survive him.
A master upholsterer by trade, Victor dedicated 33 years to perfecting his craft, leaving his artistic mark on venues like The Mustard Seed and Tascosa Country Club. His work was renowned throughout Amarillo and Los Angeles for its precision and beauty. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Victor was a man of faith. His love for the Lord was evident in his service as a deacon and Sunday School teacher at Paramount Baptist Church, where he also led a Men's Bible Study for many years.
Victor had an unbridled passion for life and was always engaged in projects, from upholstering and refining cars to home improvements. He was known to his family as the "energizer bunny with a toolbelt." His passion extended to mission trips to Mexico, where he dedicated time to helping others. Yet, his greatest joy was his family. Victor cherished every moment spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren, whether surprising Lupe with flowers, cheering on sports teams, or hosting family gatherings.
His warmth, quick wit, and welcoming smile left an indelible mark on everyone he met. Victor was a living example of kindness, generosity, and Christian values, always ready to lend a helping hand and breathe new life into the world around him.
A service to honor Victor's life will be held on October 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Paramount Baptist Church, located at 3801 S Western St, Amarillo, TX, 79109 (Building B). The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Northwest Texas Hospital, BSA Hospice, and Harrington Cancer Center for their compassionate care. They also express their deep appreciation to First Baptist Church, Paramount Baptist Church, and all their loved ones for their unwavering support and love.
"...Well done, my good and faithful servant." Matthew 25:21
