It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Victor Hinojosa, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, who left this world peacefully on June 17, 2026, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family. Born on May 11, 1940, in the picturesque town of Riobamba, Ecuador, Victor was a beacon of light and joy to all who had the privilege of knowing him. Victor was the cherished son of Rosa Hinojosa, who instilled in him values of kindness, compassion, and resilience. These values guided him throughout his life, shaping him into the remarkable man he became. As a young man, Victor embarked on a journey from Ecuador to the United States, where he built a life filled with love and dedication. For over 50 wonderful years, Victor shared a beautiful marriage with his devoted wife, Maria Hinojosa. Together, they created a loving family, raising five children—Martha, Raul, Carlos, Adrian, and Victor—who were the pride and joy of their lives. Victor's legacy of love and laughter is carried on through his 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense happiness and fulfillment. Victor dedicated more than 30 years of his career to Bell Atlantic, which later merged with Verizon, working as a skilled boiler operator. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his commitment to his family and community. A devout member of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Victor found solace and camaraderie in his faith, becoming an active participant in his church community. Known for his gentle soul and infectious humor, Victor always had a joke ready to lift the spirits of those around him. He had an extraordinary ability to light up any room, making even the most ordinary days feel special. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren, who adored him deeply. Victor's quiet strength, unwavering love, and boundless generosity left an indelible mark on everyone he met. He was not only a pillar of his family but also a cherished friend and neighbor, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. A private funeral ceremony will be held for Victor on June 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM, where family and close friends will gather to celebrate his life and cherish the memories he leaves behind. Victor Hinojosa will forever remain in our hearts, a testament to a life well-lived and a soul well-loved. Though he is no longer with us, his spirit will continue to inspire and guide us, reminding us of the power of love, laughter, and family.
