Nashville, TN - Vicky Thadella Graves-Poor, a beacon of love, resilience, and warmth, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, at the age of 69. Born on November 2, 1956, in the vibrant heart of Nashville, Tennessee, Vicky was the cherished daughter of Doris M. and Charles B. Graves. Her life was a testament to the strength of family bonds, the joy of shared moments, and the enduring power of love. Vicky was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose generosity and kindness touched all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was predeceased by her loving parents, her brother Randy Graves, her cherished husband Rickey Poor, daughter Nicole Putty-Jackson, and her beloved Tandy Putty. Their memories now join hers in the tapestry of her enduring legacy. She leaves behind a family who will forever hold her in their hearts: her devoted sisters Betsy Hudson (Mike) and Teresa Kingsley (Cecil); her loving son Christopher Poor (Isha); her treasured daughter Nina Putty; and her adored grandchildren, Nelson, Mackenzie, Belle Jackson, Kara, Ashley, Victoria Hawkins, and Benjamin Poor. Vicky's legacy of love also includes 12 great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy and pride. Vicky’s life was a symphony of laughter and love. She was the heart of her family, a steadfast guide to her children, and a gentle, yet powerful presence in the lives of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her nurturing spirit and generous heart were evident in all she did, from family gatherings to her dedicated service at the Oakland Free Will Baptist Church. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on May 13, 2026, at the Oakland Free Will Baptist Church, located at 6326 Carney Rd, Whites Creek, TN. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor a remarkable woman whose life was a tapestry woven with love and resilience. In this time of sorrow, her family finds comfort in recalling her favorite saying, “Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.” Vicky’s family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Vicky’s memory to a charity of your choice, as a way of continuing her legacy of generosity and compassion. Though she is no longer with us, Vicky’s spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those she touched. Her life was a beautiful melody, and her memory will be the harmony that sustains us all.
