Vicki Wyman
May 25, 1946 — May 29, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vicki Wyman, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Vicki departed this world on May 29, 2026, just four days after celebrating her 80th birthday. She was born on May 25, 1946, in Albion, Michigan, to Kenneth and D'Vera (Washburn) Weaver, and though she left us, her spirit remains vibrant in the lives of those she touched.
Vicki was a woman of remarkable grace, known for her impeccable work ethic and her incredible integrity. Her wry sense of humor brought joy and laughter to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Growing up on a farm in Albion, she developed a deep appreciation for hard work and the beauty of nature. She fondly recalled working alongside her father and brother, Wayne, in the fields—raking, baling, and combining—a testament to her early lessons in diligence and perseverance.
Her educational journey began in the Albion public schools, and she graduated from Washington Gardener High School. Vicki then pursued her passion for understanding human behavior, earning a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Eastern Michigan University. Her career spanned 30 years in the Finance and Credit fields, where she held esteemed positions at Spring Arbor Distributors and AE Clevite/Federal Mogul/Dana. Vicki's commitment to her work and her colleagues was unwavering, and she was respected and admired by all who worked with her.
Beyond her professional achievements, Vicki was deeply involved in her community. As a child, she was a dedicated member of 4-H in Eckford Township and attended Marengo Methodist Church. Her dedication to community service continued throughout her life; she served as a den mother for her son's Boy Scout troop, participated in two investment clubs, played violin in the New Horizons String Orchestra, took exercise classes at the Meri Lou Rec Center, and served on a Credit Union Supervisory Committee.
Vicki's life was enriched by her loving family. She is survived by her son, John Wyman, and his wife, Susie, who brought her endless joy and pride. Her cherished granddaughter, Anna Wyman, was a source of immense happiness and inspiration. Vicki's sisters, Karen Weaver, Dawn Day, and Lynn (Robert Kavetski), along with her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews, will forever hold her memory dear. Her circle of friends, neighbors, and former colleagues will remember her fondly for her kindness and her laughter. She is predeceased by her brother, Wayne Weaver, with whom she shared many fond memories.
Vicki's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all who shared in her life and legacy. Her motto, "make hay while the sun shines," serves as a reminder of her enduring positivity and zest for life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Agricultural Endowment Fund at the Albion Community Foundation or the Washtenaw Housing Alliance, causes close to her heart.
A celebration of Vicki's life will be held at a later date, where friends and family will gather to honor a life well-lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire. May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.
