With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved Vicki Lynn Greene Lerma, who departed this world on February 10, 2026, after an unexpected short illness. Born on September 12, 1959, in Winston Salem, North Carolina, Vicki was a beacon of light and love, a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was a testament to her unwavering faith and compassionate spirit. Vicki was the cherished daughter of the late Donald Ray Greene and Mary Ollie Holder, whose nurturing love and guidance shaped her into the remarkable woman she became. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald R. Greene and Mary Smith, whose memories she treasured throughout her life. Vicki's journey through life was rooted in her profound faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Her relationship with the Lord was her foundation, guiding her through every challenge and triumph. She was a devoted follower of Jesus, finding solace and wisdom in reading and studying the Bible, which she did with fervor and dedication. Family was the cornerstone of Vicki's life. She leaves behind her three beloved daughters, Leah (John) N. Pence, Tabitha (Roger) G. Lerma, and Elizabeth A. Lerma, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her love and guidance will forever remain in their hearts. Vicki was also the adored grandmother of five grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable happiness and whom she cherished deeply. Vicki possessed a love for cooking and delighted in preparing her family's favorite recipes, creating meals that nourished both body and soul. Her kitchen was always a place of warmth and welcome, where family and friends gathered to share stories and laughter. Her love for helping others was boundless; she never met a stranger and greeted everyone with a kind word and an open heart. As a community member, Vicki was known for her generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. In accordance with her wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Vicki's life. Her family requests that those who wish to honor her memory do so by spreading kindness and love, the same way she did every day of her life. Vicki Lynn Greene Lerma's legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to inspire those who knew her. Though she is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain in our hearts, guiding us with the same light she so generously shared with the world.
