Vicki Fey Schulz
November 2, 1940 — June 6, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Vicki Fey Schulz, who departed this world on June 6, 2026. Vicki passed away peacefully at her home in the comforting embrace of her family, supported by the compassionate caregivers of hospice services.
Vicki was born on November 2, 1940, in Great Falls, Cascade County, Montana, to Joe and Leona Fey. Raised in a loving household alongside her cherished older sister, Cherie Ann (Fey) Anderson, Vicki's early years were filled with joy and laughter. Though she is reunited with her parents and sister in eternity, her spirit lives on through her family and the countless lives she touched.
A proud graduate of Shelby High School's class of 1958, Vicki went on to attend Kinman Business School in Spokane before furthering her education at the University of Montana. There, she earned her degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology in 1964, a testament to her lifelong love of learning and dedication to helping others.
Vicki's life was beautifully intertwined with that of her devoted husband, Larry Allen Schulz. They married on September 5, 1964, in a ceremony held in Shelby, Montana. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventure. Vicki was the heart of her home, an exemplary homemaker and mother who poured her love into her two children, Katie and Derek, and later, Derek's significant other, Lisa.
In her later years, Vicki found immense joy in sharing Montana's rich history, working at the Conrad Mansion. Her role there, giving tours and training guides, was a perfect match for her engaging personality and love of storytelling.
A woman of deep faith, Vicki was an active member of various local churches. As she journeyed through life, her spiritual path evolved, and she found solace and inspiration within the "Fellowship" of friends who gathered to support one another and explore religious texts and theories.
Vicki's love for music was a lifelong passion. Her ability to sing and play the piano and organ by ear brought joy to many, and her avid appreciation for books, movies, and musical performances enriched her days. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the perfect snacks for her children and their friends—a testament to her nurturing spirit.
Vicki leaves behind a legacy of kindness and warmth that will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her children, Katie and Derek, and her three treasured grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.
The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at Stillwater Hospice and the staff at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home for their compassionate care and support during Vicki's final days.
As we celebrate Vicki's life, we remember her not only for the roles she played but for the love she gave so freely and the indelible mark she left on our hearts. She will be remembered with love and gratitude for the beautiful melody she created in the symphony of our lives.
