Vic Goad

It is with heavy hearts yet deep gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Vic Goad on July 21, 2026. Vic passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones, at the age of 73. Born on September 30, 1952, in Muncie, Indiana, Vic was the beloved son of the late Virgil and Martha Goad. Vic's journey was marked by a profound love for his family and an exceptional career in the medical information technology industry. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business from Ball State University, which paved the way for his successful professional life. Known for his integrity, work ethic, and kindness, Vic was a cherished colleague and friend who left an indelible mark on everyone he met. On May 8, 1993, Vic married the love of his life, Flo Douglas, in St. Louis, Missouri. Together, they shared 33 wonderful years, creating a home filled with joy, laughter, and countless memories. Vic is survived by his devoted wife, Flo, his loving son, Travis Goad, and his cherished daughter, Alisha Goad, along with her husband, Justin Baker. He also leaves behind his dear brother, Virgil Goad Jr., and his wife Judy, as well as his sister, Virginia Stevens. Vic was predeceased by his parents, Virgil and Martha Goad, and his brother-in-law, Dave Stevens. Vic's life was enriched by his many hobbies and interests. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, whether it was tending to his garden, exploring the great outdoors, or sharing stories with his family. His warm smile, gentle spirit, and unwavering kindness were hallmarks of his character, making him a beacon of light for all who knew him. A celebration of Vic's life will be held on July 28, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Flanner Buchanan - Oaklawn Memorial Gardens, located at 9700 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Vic are welcome to join us in honoring his memory. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Vic's memory to the Lewy Body Dementia Association Inc. This organization was close to Vic's heart, and contributions will help support others affected by this condition. Vic Goad's legacy is one of love, compassion, and unwavering strength. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered by those who were privileged to know him. His spirit lives on in the hearts of his family and friends, and his memory will be cherished always.
