Veronica "Ronnie" Tuggle, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026. Born on July 30, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia, Ronnie was the cherished daughter of Franscene and George Byrom. She spent her formative years in Atlanta, where she nurtured her dream of becoming an educator, a calling that she pursued with unwavering dedication. A proud graduate of Turner High School, Ronnie's passion for education led her to a fulfilling career as an elementary school teacher and daycare instructor. Her gentle guidance and infectious enthusiasm left an indelible mark on countless young lives. Ronnie's smile could light up the darkest room, and her unwavering generosity knew no bounds. She was the heart and soul of every gathering, always ready to share a kind word or a comforting embrace. Her love for playing board games and enjoying the beauty of nature reflected her zest for life and her deep appreciation for the simple joys. In 1999, Ronnie found her soulmate in Eric Tuggle, with whom she shared a beautiful life and family. Together, they nurtured a loving home that became a sanctuary for their children: Lisa Byrom, George Byrom, Anthony Rhodes, and Cynthia Rhodes. Her legacy continues through her treasured grandchildren, Octavious Rhodes, Teneshia Rhodes, Cj Allen, and Moni Walker, who carry forward her compassionate spirit and love for life. Ronnie's siblings, Paula Morton, George Byrom, and Lisette Morton, along with her extended family and numerous friends, will forever cherish the memories of her luminous presence and unwavering faith. She never complained, choosing instead to let God guide her life, and her love for people was evident in every interaction. A private funeral service will be held to honor Ronnie's extraordinary life. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in her memory to support breast cancer research, a cause close to her heart. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the senior Pastor and church family of Tri Cities United Methodist Church in Hapeville, Georgia, as well as the dedicated staff at Ronnie's dialysis clinic and Emory Winship Cancer Institute. Special thanks are given to Ashley and the entire team who meticulously coordinated and executed Ronnie's Celebration of Life, as well as Willie Watkins Funeral Home for their compassionate care.
