April 8, 1971 — April 18, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Veronica Tatum, a beloved mother, cherished sister, and devoted friend, who left this world on April 18, 2026, at the age of 55. Veronica was born on April 8, 1971, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Hattie and David Walker, and from her very first breath, she brought light and joy into the lives of everyone around her.
Veronica's life was a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering dedication to her family. She was a nurturing mother to her four children—Torrian Tatum, Deandre Arrington, Marquis Simmons, and Sharron Pugh—each of whom she cherished deeply. Her love for them was fierce and unconditional, and she devoted herself to their happiness and growth, imparting wisdom, kindness, and strength that will continue to guide them.
Her life was also touched by sorrow, having predeceased her beloved children and her dear sisters, Romicka and Janet Tatum, who shared in her joys and supported her through life’s challenges. Together, they created a tapestry of memories filled with laughter and love that will be treasured by all who knew them.
Veronica’s legacy lives on through her four precious grandchildren, who were the light of her life. She delighted in their every achievement and cherished every moment spent with them, teaching them the values of love, kindness, and perseverance.
Those who knew Veronica will remember her as a woman of incredible strength, compassion, and grace. Her warmth and generosity of spirit extended beyond her family, touching the lives of countless friends and community members. She had an innate ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, a gift that left an indelible mark on the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.
A service to honor the life of Veronica Tatum will be held on April 25, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Moons E. Funeral Home. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by her presence are invited to gather in remembrance and celebration of a remarkable woman whose light will continue to shine in our hearts.
In this time of mourning, let us draw strength from the love Veronica shared and the memories she created. Her spirit will forever be a guiding force in our lives, reminding us to live with compassion, courage, and unwavering love for one another.
