It is with heavy hearts yet profound gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of Vernetta Lynn Sena, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world on April 15, 2026, at the age of 55. Vernetta was born on January 12, 1971, in Pennsylvania, to Pamela and Clyde Francis, who preceded her in death, along with her cherished son, Albertano Wayne Sena.
Vernetta's life was a testament to resilience, love, and dedication. She embarked on her journey of motherhood at the young age of 18, nurturing her family with unwavering love and devotion. Her two beautiful daughters, Brittany and Cristina Sena, were the center of her world, and she took immense pride in their accomplishments and happiness. Her legacy lives on in her seven wonderful grandchildren: Jaz, Aniah, Damien, Jess, Nathan, Lilly, and Joisah, who all adored their grandmother and carry forward her spirit of joy and laughter.
Education was a cornerstone of Vernetta's life. Returning to school to earn her GED, she pursued her passion for helping others by attending nursing school to become a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). For over 30 years, Vernetta served as a compassionate and dedicated nurse, touching countless lives with her kindness, generosity, and unparalleled care. She was known for her ability to bring comfort and smiles to those in her care, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she encountered.
Vernetta's home was a haven of warmth and laughter. She delighted in bringing her family together, creating cherished memories around the dinner table with her delicious homemade meals. A lover of dance and laughter, Vernetta's infectious humor and joy brightened the lives of all who knew her. She relished in playing cards with her loved ones, fostering bonds that transcended generations.
Her bravery and resilience were evident in the face of life's challenges, and her unwavering strength inspired those around her. Vernetta's ability to overcome adversity with grace and courage was a testament to her character and spirit.
A celebration of Vernetta Lynn Sena's life will be held on April 19, 2026, at 2:00 PM, at the First Mennonite Church, located at 430 West 9th Ave, Denver, CO 80204. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a woman whose life was a beacon of love and strength.
