December 16, 2012 — March 24, 2026

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Vera Seatter, who left us far too soon on March 24, 2026. Born on December 16, 2012, in Barrhead, Alberta, Canada, Vera's life, though brief, was filled with moments of joy, curiosity, and love that touched everyone around her. Vera was the cherished daughter of Luke and Jessica Seatter, who surrounded her with unconditional love and unwavering support. From an early age, Vera exhibited a vibrant curiosity about the world, capturing its beauty through the lens of her camera. Her passion for photography was matched only by her fascination with the aquatic world, as she spent countless hours observing and learning about fish. A student at Pembina North Community School, Vera excelled in her grade eight classes, always eager to learn and share her discoveries with friends and family. Her time at school was marked by her enthusiasm and a warmth that made her a cherished friend to many. Though she struggled with badminton singles, her perseverance and determination were evident in every endeavor she undertook, teaching those around her about resilience and the importance of trying one's best. Vera's life was tragically cut short in a heartbreaking accident, leaving a void in the hearts of all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her dear best friend, Cicely Terlouw, whose companionship brought so much joy and laughter into Vera's life. Together, they shared countless adventures and dreams, creating memories that will forever be treasured. Though Vera did not have the opportunity to embark on a career, she lived with her parents, who provided her with a nurturing and loving home. Her gentle spirit and infectious smile brightened their days and reminded them of the beauty in life's simplest moments. Vera's memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, who will remember her for her kindness, her zest for life, and her ability to find beauty in the world around her. In honoring Vera's life, we celebrate the joy and light she brought into the lives of those who were fortunate enough to know her. As we say goodbye to our beloved Vera, we hold onto the love she shared and the memories we created together. While her time with us was short, the impact of her presence will be felt for a lifetime. We find solace in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with her dear friend Cicely, and forever in the care of the angels. A private memorial service will be held by the family to honor Vera's life and spirit. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in Vera's memory, to continue her legacy of compassion and love for the world around her.
