January 25, 1915 — July 22, 1932

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vera Claythorne, a cherished daughter, sister, wife, and friend. Vera was born on January 25, 1915, in England, to the late John and Mary Claythorne. Her journey on this earth came to a peaceful end on July 22, 1932, on Soldier Island, where she was surrounded by the memories of those who had gone before her. Vera was a remarkable woman whose life, though brief, was filled with moments of dedication, kindness, and quiet strength. She devoted herself to the service of others in various roles, including as a teacher, caretaker, and secretary. In each position, she touched the lives of many with her unwavering commitment and gentle spirit. Those who knew her will remember her as a beacon of compassion and resilience, always ready to lend a helping hand or a comforting word. Vera was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John and Mary Claythorne, her brother William, and her husband Thomas. Though her family circle is now complete in the heavens, Vera's legacy of love and dedication continues to resonate with all who were fortunate enough to have been a part of her life. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Vera's life and bid her a fond farewell at a service to be held on August 1, 1932, at St. Mary's Church, located at 1231 E Coonrod Dr. The service will honor Vera's memory, reflecting on the warmth and kindness she brought into the world. As we gather to remember Vera, we find solace in knowing she is now free from pain, suffering, and fear. Her spirit rests peacefully, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts. Though our time with her was too short, the impact of her presence will be felt for generations to come. May she rest in eternal peace.
