In 1976, Velma married the love of her life, Claude Morris, with whom she shared 49 wonderful years until his passing on Father’s Day 2025. Their marriage was a beautiful testament to enduring love and partnership, and together they raised two remarkable sons, Wesley and Bradley Morris, who were her pride and joy. Velma was predeceased by her devoted parents and her beloved husband, Claude, whose memories she cherished deeply. She is survived by her two sons, Wesley and Bradley, who will carry forward her legacy of love, humor, and integrity. Though Velma loved fishing and crafting, life’s responsibilities often kept her from indulging in these hobbies as often as she wished. In accordance with her wishes, Velma’s family will hold a private ceremony to celebrate her life, honoring her quiet strength and the gentle spirit she shared with the world.
