It is with heavy hearts and cherished memories that we announce the passing of Vaugh Eugene Watson, who left this world on March 9, 2026. Born on August 16, 1969, in Wilmington, Delaware, Vaugh was a beacon of warmth and kindness, a man whose life was defined by his generous spirit and dedication to helping others. Vaugh was the beloved son of Patrica Watson and the late James Watson. He was predeceased by his dear sister, Joletta Watson, and brother, Thomas Watson, whose memories he cherished deeply. He is survived by his loving family: his sister Sophia Brown, brother James Watson, mother Patrica Watson, and sister Jeanette Watson. His legacy of kindness will also be carried on by his cherished nieces, Trawanda, married to Donnie, and Dineen Hudson, as well as his niece Monique Watson. Vaugh's nephews, Aronda and Gary Watson, will forever remember him as a guiding and loving presence in their lives. Educated in Wilmington, Vaugh graduated in 1987, where he first discovered his passion for carpentry. Throughout his life, he held various jobs that allowed him to nurture his skills and interests. Eventually, Vaugh found his true calling as a handyman and car detailer, professions that suited his meticulous nature and desire to serve others. Vaugh was renowned for his ability to restore anything with his hands, a talent matched only by his unwavering willingness to lend those hands to anyone in need. Vaugh was a man of simple yet profound pleasures. He had a unique gift for making those around him feel special, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand. His love for good food was legendary, and he often brought people together with his culinary adventures, sharing laughter and stories over a meal. A service to honor Vaugh’s life will be held at Simpson United Methodist, located at 123 Main St, where friends and family will gather to celebrate the remarkable life he led. It is a moment to remember a man who, in his unassuming way, touched the lives of all who knew him. The Watson family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to everyone who has taken the time to remember Vaugh one last time. Special thanks are given to our extended Cale family for their unwavering support and love, always welcoming Vaugh as one of their own.
