May 3, 1970 — April 10, 2026

Valerie Marshall, a beacon of light and strength, passed away on April 10, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on May 3, 1970, in Goshen, Indiana, Valerie was a beloved daughter of Sandra Mast and William Holderman, who, together with Carolyn Holderman, survive her. Valerie was the wife to the late Brad Marshall and a cherished sister to the late Melanie Holderman. Her beloved grandparents Lloyd and Doris Shrock also preceded her in death. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience in her surviving family: her mother Sandra Mast, father William Holderman and stepmother Carolyn, her children Kaitlyn Rheinheimer, Victoria Rollins, and Zachary Rollins; her brothers Phillip, with his wife Deana Holderman, and Richard, with his wife Julie Rheinheimer. Valerie’s love extended to her two grandsons, Kaelor Riley and William Coen, who will forever carry her spirit forward. As a full time homemaker, Valerie loved working with the disabled. Her compassion and dedication were a testament to her belief in standing up for the people she cared for the most, a value she held dear throughout her life. Known for her brutal honesty, Valerie's words were always genuine, a quality that endeared her to many. Valerie’s life was full of vibrant laughter and joyful moments. She was known for her infectious smile and her ability to bring laughter to those around her. Whether coloring, crocheting, or relaxing outside her camper, Valerie embraced life with an enthusiasm that was truly inspiring. Yet, her greatest joy was found in the time spent with her grandkids, who were the light of her life. Her family fondly remembers Valerie’s ability to live life to the fullest, regardless of the challenges that came her way. Her legacy will be carried on by those who loved her and were touched by her indomitable spirit. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Haven Hospice in Lake City, Florida, for their compassionate care during Valerie’s final days. A Celebration of Life will be held in Valerie’s honor at a later date, where family and friends will gather to pay tribute to a life lived with courage, laughter, and love. Valerie Marshall's memory will forever be cherished by all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to inspire, reminding us to stand up for what we believe in and to embrace each day with a smile and a heart full of love, no matter what life brings your way.
