Tyrone Edward Jones
February 13, 1977 — May 17, 2026
With heavy hearts and profound gratitude for his life, we announce the peaceful passing of Tyrone Edward Jones on May 17, 2026, after a courageous battle. Tyrone was born on February 13, 1977, in the warm embrace of Oklahoma City, OK, where he first graced the world with his bright smile and infectious spirit.
Tyrone was the beloved son of the late Winfred Leon Jones and Rossie Ann Jones, and brother to the late Charlotte Jones, who preceded him in eternal rest. He leaves behind a family steeped in love, including his cherished daughter Tyeisha Jones and his pride and joy son Ty Nicholas West, who carries on his legacy of culinary passion and love for others. Tyrone is also survived by his devoted brother Curtis Jones and his wife, his best friend Candance Weakly, along with a host of aunts, uncles, niece and nephews, cousins, and dear extended family friends who mourn his passing and celebrate his life.
A proud graduate of Spencer High School in 1995, Tyrone's journey led him to the service industry, where his heart for serving others shone brightly. His career spanned many years in the catering and food industry, where his charm was always met with a return smile. Tyrone's culinary talent was not only his profession but his passion, and he delighted in creating meals and sharing his knowledge with his son, instilling a love for the culinary arts.
Tyrone was an avid chess player, whose skill at the game was rivaled only by his love for it. He was known for his warm and quick smile, always ready with a joke to lighten the mood or a charming, flirtatious comment to bring a smile to the ladies around him. His kindness and generosity touched countless lives, and his gift for making anyone he met feel like family and valued will be remembered by all who knew him.
A small intimate celebration of Tyrone's life will be held on May 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM, where family and close friends will gather to honor his memory and the indelible mark he left on their hearts. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to the longtime family friends Yancy Scott and wife Heather Nickel-Scott and the loving Mr Billy & Mrs Rebecca Bridger. They would also like the thank the compassionate staff at SSM Health MWC for their devoted care and to Barnes-Friederich & Pope Funeral Home for their guidance and support during this time.
As we remember Tyrone, let us carry forward his legacy of love, laughter, and generosity, forever cherishing the beautiful moments he shared with us.
Jeremiah 30:17: For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord.
