Tyra LaRay Anderson, born on February 24, 1984, in Kansas City, MO, left this world on October 6, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Tyra's vibrant spirit and unwavering dedication to her family and friends have left an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. The beloved daughter of Florance (Jessie) Lewis and Willie (Faye) Alford, Tyra grew up surrounded by the warmth and support of her family, which she cherished deeply throughout her life. She carried the love and lessons from her parents into her own family, passing them on to her cherished daughters, TyJaynae, Ciara, and Journey Anderson, all residing in Kansas City, MO. Tyra was predeceased by her uncles Brian and Willie Anderson, her grandmother Diane Anderson, her brother Eric Williams, her beloved sons Karim and Hassan Hassan, and her niece Tykeedra Henderson. Their memories lived on in her heart, as she often spoke of the joy and wisdom they brought into her life. She is survived by her devoted daughters, as well as her brothers, Tyrone Anderson, Willard, Shannon, and Brian Williams, and her sisters, Alisha (Daniel) Hudson of Virgina and Leyana (Erick) Weekly of whom reside in Kansas City, MO. Tyra's family was her pride and joy, and she embraced her role as a sister and mother with a love that was as fierce as it was unconditional. Tyra was renowned for her larger-than-life personality and her ability to bring joy to any gathering. Her beautiful smile could light up a room, and her infectious laughter was a source of happiness for all. She loved fiercely, lived passionately, and cherished every moment with her family and friends. Her presence was a gift, and she had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special and loved. A service to celebrate Tyra's life will be held on October 24, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the Greater St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church, located at 2827 Indiana. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her memory and the beautiful life she led. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all the caregivers who lovingly attended to Tyra in her final moments. They also wish to express their deepest appreciation to the friends and family who offered their prayers and support during this difficult time.
