In Loving Memory
Tyreck Richardson “Ty” “TNasty”
February 20, 2006 — February 25, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Ty Rich, affectionately known as TNasty, who left this world far too soon on February 25, 2026, at the tender age of 21. Born on February 20, 2005, in Arcola, North Carolina, Ty was a vibrant soul whose light shone brightly in the lives of those around him.
Ty was the cherished son of Stacy Richardson and Linda Settles Richardson. He was a devoted brother to his little brother, De’Ayrrione Richardson, and a beloved grandson to Faith Settles. He was part of a close-knit family that included his uncles Audis Claud Richardson (Darlene), Michael Settles (Mike), and Shannon Richardson (Kiera), as well as his young aunt Ndia Settles. Ty also leaves behind his two precious dogs, Anna and Gracie, who were constant companions in his life. His extended family, including many cousins and friends, were blessed to have known his kindness and generosity.
Ty's life was touched by the early loss of his oldest brother, Jordan Settles Richardson, his grandparents Geneva and Curtis Richardson, and Rallie Jr. Settles, and his great-grandparents, including the recently departed Bertha Richardson in 2023. The memories of those who predeceased him were a source of comfort and inspiration throughout his life.
A 2025 graduate of Warren County High School, Ty was full of ambition and dreams. He longed to serve in the United States Marines Corps, a testament to his courageous spirit and desire to contribute to something greater than himself. Although he never got the chance to fulfill this dream, his bravery and dedication were evident in everything he pursued.
Ty was a creative force, known for his engaging social media content that began when he was just 15 years old. He amassed a following of 20,000 on TikTok and was steadily growing his presence on Facebook with nearly 10,000 followers. His online community was a reflection of his genuine love for uplifting others, even when he was facing his own challenges. Ty's content was a beacon of positivity and encouragement, and he will be remembered for the joy he brought to so many.
In 2023, Ty embarked on a new passion—line dancing. As the founder and CEO of the "ATownSteppaz," he found immense joy in leading his group and bringing people together through dance. His enthusiasm for life and dedication to his newfound passion was infectious, and he loved to "put his boots on the ground and stump up the dirt."
Ty was a deeply loving and genuine person with a heart full of compassion. He was loyal, emotionally aware, and always made those he loved feel seen and supported. His strong spirit, sensitivity, and rare sincerity made everyone around him feel valued. Ty's passion, honesty, warmth, and infectious laughter filled every space he entered. His love was real and unforgettable, and it will remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Ty's life and legacy. During this difficult time, the family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received. They wish to convey a special message: "You may be gone, but your love will remain with us."
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Ty's memory by spreading kindness and love in your own communities, upholding the values he held dear. Ty Rich, TNasty, will forever be missed, but his spirit and the joy he brought into this world will never be forgotten.
