It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tuniasha Vonique Bumpers, affectionately known as "Hollywood," who left this world on September 25, 2026. Born on November 8, 1982, in Newport News, Virginia, Tuniasha blessed the lives of everyone she encountered with her radiant spirit and boundless love.
Tuniasha was the beloved daughter of Braxina Bumpers and Pee Wee Williams. She is now reunited with her cherished grandmother, Alma L. Bumpers; her dear aunts, Charlene Peterson, Darlene Wilkerson, and Alma L. Brown; and her loving cousins, Sherrae Brown and Raekwon Peterson.
She is survived by her devoted life partner of 25 years, Patricia Veale, who shared a love story that was an inspiration to all. Tuniasha also leaves behind her treasured sisters, Sha’Corean Bumpers and Artesia Bumpers, along with her adored nephews, nieces, and a host of cousins and close friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts.
A proud graduate of Warwick High School in 2001, Tuniasha furthered her education at Strayer University. She was a creative soul who expressed herself through her poetry and distinctive style, bringing authenticity and vibrancy into every room she entered. Above all, she cherished spending time with her family and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and love.
Tuniasha's warmth and generosity were unmatched. Her light shone brightly, touching every soul she met. Her authenticity and kindness made her a beacon of hope and love. To know her was to love her, as she gave her heart wholly and unconditionally. Her legacy of love, loyalty, and light will forever guide those she leaves behind.
A celebration of Tuniasha's life will be held on October 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at C.C. Carter Funeral Services, located at 3700 Marshall Avenue, Newport News, VA. Family and friends are invited to gather and honor the incredible life she lived.
