Born on June 30, 1961, in Wichita, Kansas, Troy was the beloved son of Leon Smith Hines and Eveletta Lorraine Margaret Hines. He was a man of many talents and a heart full of kindness. Troy's life was marked by his boundless energy and his commitment to his family and community. A man of faith, he was a proud member of Brothers in Blues and Calvary Chapel, where he nurtured his Protestant beliefs and formed lifelong friendships. His education journey included obtaining a G.E.D. and a Welder's Certificate, which he used to craft a varied and fulfilling career. He was a master of all trades, from welding at Big Dog Motorcycles and Opp Concrete to exploring the country as a traveling fruit salesman. His creative spirit shone brightly in his craftsmanship, whether it was through making jewelry or his artistic ventures. Troy found joy in life's simple pleasures, such as weightlifting, crocheting, and spending time with his beloved animals. He was an avid fisherman and cherished the freedom of the open road on his motorcycles. A man of unwavering loyalty and generosity, Troy was the protector and the rock of his family. His love knew no bounds, and he would go to great lengths to support and care for those he held dear. His memory will be cherished by his surviving family members, including his brother, Leon Smith Hines Jr., and sister, Charlotte Ardel Kelley. His nurturing spirit and the bonds he formed were felt by many. Troy is predeceased by his dear family members Carol Ann Avery, Lindy Kay Hines, and Karen Sue Tuczek. He now joins them in eternal peace, leaving behind a world touched by his kindness and laughter. In honoring Troy's life, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in lieu of flowers, to continue his legacy of giving. They also extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff and residents of Salem Nursing Home in Hillsboro, Kansas, for their unwavering support and care. Troy Hines will be remembered as a man whose heart was as vast as his talents, touching the lives of everyone he met with his warmth and generosity. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
