Trent Everett Gray

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Trent Everett Gray, a cherished father, devoted brother, and beloved friend, who left this world on September 1, 2026. Born on April 24, 1960, in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Trent was a beacon of joy and positivity, known for his infectious laughter and his unwavering love for his family. Trent was the beloved son of Robert (Bobby) and Dorris (Bootsie) Gray. He is predeceased by his parents and his dear sister, Dawn Gray. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in his surviving family members: his daughters, Sierra and Daria, and their mother, Nina. His siblings Pete, Michelle, Towana, Mark (Jackie), Dorris, Lamar (Tracy), and Holly, will forever cherish the memories they created with Trent. He also leaves behind two godsons and a host of nieces and nephews who adored their "fun uncle." Trent's journey with Nina began in 1981, thanks to a serendipitous introduction by his mother. Their love story flourished, leading to their marriage in 1985, and they shared many wonderful years together. An alumnus of Plainfield High School, Trent pursued higher education at Burlington County College, where he earned a degree in business. His career took him from his early days at Rickles in Plainfield, NJ, to impactful roles as a logistical manager at NFI and Le Creuset. A man of faith, Trent was an active member of Christ Baptist Church in Burlington, NJ, since 1990. He shared his talents with the church Drama Ministry and was a familiar face in the church's Christmas plays, often sharing the stage with his daughters. Trent's involvement extended to the Christ Baptist Men's softball team and the Men's Fellowship, where he fostered community and camaraderie. Trent's greatest joy was watching his daughters shine. He often exclaimed with pride, "Look what my girls can do," a testament to his unwavering support and love for Sierra and Daria. He was known for his big laugh, his positive attitude, and his willingness to jump in and have a good time. His spirit was infectious, earning him the titles of "fun dad" and "fun uncle" among those who knew him. A memorial service to celebrate Trent's life will be held on September 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Baptist Church, located at 950 Jacksonville Rd., Burlington, NJ. The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Trent's memory.
