With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for a life well-lived, we announce the passing of Trenia Coleman, who left this world peacefully at her home on September 21, 2026. Born on December 31, 1970, in Pikeville, Kentucky, Trenia was the beloved daughter of Faye and Warren G. Elkins. Trenia was a devoted wife to Michael Coleman, with whom she shared 32 wonderful years of marriage. Their journey together began on November 19, 1999, and together they built a beautiful family. Trenia was the proud mother of two sons, Anthony Bartley of Pikeville, Kentucky, and David Bartley of Elkhorn City, Kentucky. Her legacy continues through her five cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life and who adored their grandmother dearly. A graduate of Elkhorn City High School in 1989, Trenia dedicated her professional life to working in factories and daycares, where her kindness and nurturing spirit touched many lives. Her commitment to her community was evident in her 10-year membership at the Corner Stone Church of God, where she found joy and fellowship. Trenia's life was enriched by her love for arts and crafts, a passion she often shared with her family. She was a woman of warmth and generosity, always present when needed, offering her love and support without hesitation. A service to celebrate Trenia’s life will be held at 7:00 PM on September 27, 2026, at Corner Stone Church, located at 1229 Main Street, Pikeville, Kentucky. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembering a woman who brought joy and love to all who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the community center, a place dear to Trenia's heart. The family would like to express their profound thanks to everyone who has shown kindness and support during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are deeply appreciated as they navigate this profound loss. Trenia’s memory will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she so generously gave.
