With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Travis Simpson, a cherished son, brother, father, and friend. Travis departed this world on June 2, 2026, at the age of 42, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and service. Born on April 11, 1984, in Monroe, North Carolina, Travis’s life was a testament to devotion—both to his family and his country. Travis was the beloved son of Donnie Carelock and Terry Simpson. He was preceded in death by his father, Donnie, and his brother, Brandon Simpson. Despite these profound losses, Travis remained a pillar of strength and support for his family, particularly for his son, Aiden Simpson, who was the light of his life. A proud alumnus of Monroe High School, Travis demonstrated a deep commitment to serving others early on. After graduation, he joined the United States Air Force, where he served his country with honor and distinction. His time in the military shaped him into a man of integrity and resilience, qualities that he carried with him throughout his life. Travis's gentle spirit and infectious smile touched the hearts of everyone he met. He leaves behind his cherished sisters, Nicole Williams and Laquita Williams, as well as his stepsister, Sheakia Long. He is also survived by a host of devoted aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends who will remember him for his warmth, generosity, and unwavering loyalty. A service to honor and celebrate the life of Travis Simpson will be held on July 11, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Kings Funeral Home, located at 4000 Beatties Ford Rd, Charlotte, NC 28216. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Travis are invited to join together in remembrance of a life so beautifully lived. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests that donations be made in Travis’s memory to a charity of your choice, honoring his spirit of giving and service to others. Travis Simpson’s life was one of kindness, courage, and love. Though he is no longer with us, his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
