Travis F. Shepherd

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Travis Shepherd, who left us on September 22, 2026. Born on February 3, 1977, in the historic city of Alexandria, Virginia, Travis spent his life weaving a rich tapestry of love, laughter, and dedication to those around him. Travis was a beloved son to his parents, Carol & Mike Mucci and Jerry & Mary Shepherd, who instilled in him the values of kindness, honor, and resilience. These qualities served him well throughout his life, especially during his service as a Corporal in the United States Marine Corps from 1997 to 2001. His time in the Marines was a testament to his courage and commitment to serving his country, and he carried these experiences with him throughout his life. Above all else, Travis was a devoted father to his cherished son, Donald Shepherd. His love for Donald was boundless, and he took immense pride in watching him grow and thrive. As a brother, Travis shared a special bond with his sister, Valerie Cousins, whose memories of laughter and shared adventures will be treasured forever. Travis was known for his infectious smile and a sense of humor that could light up any room. He had a remarkable ability to bring joy to others through his jokes and warm presence. Those who knew him will forever remember his laughter and the way he could make even the most mundane moments seem extraordinary. Travis Shepherd will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
