Travis Goguen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Travis Goguen, a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend, who left this world on July 21, 2026, while doing what he loved most—riding his quad in the White Mountains. Born on January 25, 1981, in Leominster, Massachusetts, Travis brought light and laughter into the world from the very beginning. Travis was the cherished son of Sue Progen and the late James Goguen. He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Luke Progen, his stepfather Joe Progen, and all his grandparents from both the Provost and Goguen families. He leaves behind his devoted mother, Sue Provost-Progen, and his three beloved children, Destiny, Daviann, and Dakotah. Travis also leaves his younger brother Troy Goguen, his younger sister Codi Goguen, and a host of nieces and nephews who adored him: Jack, Gage, Starr, Devin, Kamryn, Taeghan, Tyler, and Serenity. His presence will be profoundly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends. Travis's journey in education began at Briggs Elementary in Ashburnham and continued at Narragansett High School in Templeton-Baldwinville. He later completed his GED, setting an example of determination and perseverance. His professional life was marked by his skill and dedication as a welder at Bosch, a machine operator at Garlock Printing Company, and most recently, as a valued team member at Wendy's in Rindge, where he formed lasting friendships and enjoyed a fulfilling, stress-free role. Travis was a man of many passions. His love for the outdoors was evident in his love for camping and riding, everything from his quad (ATV), snowmobile, to dirtbike and electric bike, as well as kayaking. He found joy in music and was a dedicated remote control hobbyist, fascinated by drones and RC cars. His interests extended to sports, all of the Boston teams, however the Bruins were his all-time favorite. Travis was always up-to-date with the current state of affairs, ready to engage in discussions about politics both in the US and globally. Those who knew Travis will remember his infectious smile and humor, qualities that made him a cherished companion and a loyal friend. He was a steadfast supporter of freedom of speech and personal rights, inspired by figures like Donald Trump and Charlie Kirk. A service to celebrate Travis's life will be held on August 16, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Harvest Christian Fellowship, located at 1 Main Street, Jaffrey, NH 03452. The family expresses their deep gratitude to Travis's friends and loved ones for being a significant part of his journey. In his final moments, the generosity of unknown blood donors granted his family a precious hour with him. In his honor, please consider donating blood or contributing to a charity of your choice.
