TRAVIS CLAYTON TULLOS

It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the passing of Travis Clayton Tullos, who departed this world on July 15, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on January 27, 1938, in Baytown, Texas, Travis was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Travis grew up in Groveton, Texas, where he attended Groveton High School. His thirst for knowledge led him to the University of Texas for a couple of years before he joined the United States Air Force. There, he served his country with honor and pride, embodying the values of duty, commitment, and love for his nation. On February 23, 1962, Travis married the love of his life, Loretta Tullos. Together, they built a beautiful family, nurturing an environment filled with love and faith. Travis is survived by his devoted wife Loretta, his cherished daughters Brenda Kent and Theresa Evans, and his many grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. He worked tirelessly to create a better world for them, instilling in them the importance of learning, growth, and early spiritual guidance. Travis was a man of great intellect and curiosity. He found joy in reading and studying all that he could about the world, driven by a desire to improve it for future generations. His legacy is one of wisdom, kindness, and an enduring faith in the power of knowledge and understanding. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to St. James House of Baytown, Dr. Wasserstein, and Faith Community Hospice for the compassionate care they provided during Travis’s final days. Their support and dedication brought comfort to Travis and his loved ones. A service to celebrate Travis’s life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the St. James House of Baytown, located at 5800 W. Baker Rd, Baytown, Texas. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of a remarkable man who touched so many lives. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice, honoring Travis’s lifelong commitment to making the world a better place. May Travis Clayton Tullos rest in peace, surrounded by the love of those who knew him and the grace of the Lord he cherished. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
