TRAVIS CLAYTON TULLOS

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Travis Clayton Tullos, who departed this world on July 15, 2026. Born on January 27, 1938, in Baytown, Texas, Travis graced us with 88 years of wisdom, love, and dedication to family and friends. Travis was the beloved husband of Lorretta Tullos, with whom he shared a beautiful marriage of over 64 years, having wed on February 23, 1962. Together, they built a life centered around family, love, and the pursuit of knowledge. A proud graduate of Groveton High School in Groveton, Texas, Travis pursued higher education at the University of Texas. His thirst for knowledge was unquenchable, and he was a lifelong learner with a passion for understanding the world around him. After college, he selflessly served our country in the Air Force, a testament to his strong sense of duty and patriotism. Travis was a loving father to his two daughters, Brenda Kent and Theresa Evans, who were his pride and joy. His legacy continues through his numerous grandchildren, whom he cherished deeply, always encouraging them towards a life of knowledge and spiritual growth. Travis was also blessed with the enduring friendship of Jon Hockenyos, whose companionship he treasured. A man of integrity and kindness, Travis inspired those around him with his love for reading and learning. His family will forever remember his gentle spirit and the profound wisdom he imparted upon them. A celebration of Travis's life will be held on August 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at St. James House of Baytown, located at 5800 W. Baker Rd. Baytown, TX 77520. It is here that family and friends will gather to honor a life well-lived and to share in the memories of a man who touched so many. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to St. James House of Baytown, Faith Community Hospice, and Dr. Wasserstein for their compassionate care during Travis's final days. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Travis's memory to a charity of your choice. Travis Clayton Tullos will be dearly missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
