Travis A. Silva, a cherished soul and beloved family man, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026, at the age of 45, after valiantly battling a tumor for the past year. Born on June 22, 1980, in New Port Richey, Florida, Travis was the son of Douglas A. Silva, who survives him. A graduate of the Sport High School, class of 1998, Travis was known for his vibrant spirit and infectious enthusiasm. From a young age, he had a passion for sports and the outdoors, often found coaching his children's teams or exploring nature with them. His love for life and his family was evident in everything he did. Travis shared 18 beautiful years with his partner, Kim DeGroff, a testament to their profound love and unwavering commitment to each other. Together, they built a life full of laughter, love, and unforgettable memories. Kim often said that being with Travis was a blessing, and she wouldn't change a moment of their time together. Travis was a devoted father to his four children: Andrew Silva, who carries his father's legacy with strength; Hunter DeGroff, whose adventurous spirit mirrors Travis's own; Blake DeGroff, who brought endless joy into Travis's life; and Amari Silva, his cherished daughter who always held a special place in his heart. His children were his pride and joy, and he was always there to support and guide them. In addition to his children, Travis leaves behind his father, Douglas Silva, and five adoring grandchildren who brought light into his life during his most challenging days. His family was his world, and he was theirs. Travis was a man of integrity and kindness, known for his gentle smile and the warmth he shared with everyone he met. He had a gift for making people feel valued and loved, and his presence was a source of comfort to all who knew him. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to all who supported Travis during his illness and to those who continue to offer their love and condolences. In their own words: "Travis was a really good man. We are all gonna miss him so much. Rest in peace, Travis, we love you." A celebration of Travis's life will be held to honor the incredible husband, father, son, and friend he was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made in Travis's memory to a charity supporting tumor research, to help others who are fighting similar battles. Travis A. Silva's legacy of love and kindness will live on through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, forever remembered in our hearts.
