Trate Jefferson Marshall
July 28, 1999 — April 24, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of Trate Jefferson Marshall, affectionately known as T.J. Born on July 28, 1999, in the sunny town of Galveston, Texas, T.J. departed this world peacefully in a hospital setting on April 24, 2026. His gentle spirit and infectious kindness touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
T.J. was the beloved son of the late Bertha Marshall and bio mom Terry Lynn Gray, and the cherished brother of the late Jeff Marshall. He was also predeceased by his dear niece, Brittani Halarewich, and his grandparents along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins who welcomed him with open arms in the afterlife. T.J. is survived by a loving network of family, including Taylor Dusablon, Sandra and Willie Rolling, Dylan Cain, Carlos Reynolds, Aunt Mary Jane, and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
A proud graduate of Madisonville High School, T.J. carried his passion for learning and his generous heart into his membership with Project Sunshine, an organization that perfectly reflected his sunny disposition and compassionate nature. T.J. never met anyone he didn't consider a friend; his loving and kind demeanor left a lasting impression on everyone he encountered. Life, to him, was a wondrous adventure filled with good times and cherished connections.
T.J.'s interests were as vibrant and varied as his personality. He had a deep love for video games, phones, and computers, and he delighted in the whimsical joy of the Powerpuff Girls. These hobbies were not just pastimes but a testament to his lively imagination and his ability to find joy in the simple pleasures of life.
A celebration of T.J.'s life will be held on June 6, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Bedias Conversation Center, located at 3642 Main Street, Bedias, TX. All who knew and loved T.J. are welcome to join us in honoring his remarkable life and the indelible mark he left on our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice, reflecting T.J.'s spirit of giving and kindness.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Trisha Benefield, Carlos Reynolds, "Stinky," and the staff at HCA Hospital and DayBreak workers for their unwavering support and care during this difficult time.
As we say goodbye to T.J., we hold on to the love he shared and the memories he created. His legacy of friendship, kindness, and joy will continue to inspire us all.
Rest in peace, dear T.J. You will be forever missed and eternally cherished.
