TRACY LYNN DONAHUE
May 9, 1973 — June 18, 2026
It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for her life that we announce the passing of Tracy Lynn Donahue, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Tracy peacefully departed this world on June 18, 2026, at her home, enveloped by the love of her family. She was 53 years old.
Tracy was born on May 9, 1973, in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, to Jim and Debbie Johnson. From an early age, she exhibited a boundless love for life and a nurturing spirit that would touch all those who knew her. She was predeceased by her father, Jim, whose memory she cherished and whose values she carried forward in her own life.
Tracy's formative years were spent in Salem, where she graduated from Salem High School in 1991. Her love for learning and dedication to community led her to a career at Salem Elementary School, where she served as the cherished school secretary. Tracy often described her job as a joy, likening her role to having an extended family of "extra grandkids." Her laughter and kindness brightened the lives of students and colleagues alike, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
On October 1, 2011, Tracy married the love of her life, Michael Donahue, in a beautiful ceremony in Bull Shoals, Arkansas. Together, they built a life grounded in love and mutual respect, creating a warm and welcoming home for their family. Tracy was the proud and devoted mother to Garrett Dietsche, Abby Dietsche, Sarah Pylant, and Megan Jeffords. Her unwavering support and unconditional love were the cornerstones of her family, and she delighted in their every accomplishment.
Tracy's legacy lives on through her four cherished grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense joy, and she adored spending time creating lasting memories with them. Her nurturing spirit and infectious laughter will forever echo in their hearts.
Tracy is survived by her adoring husband, Michael Donahue; her beloved children, Garrett Dietsche, Abby Dietsche, Sarah Pylant, and Megan Jeffords; her loving mother, Debbie Johnson; and her devoted brother, Tim Johnson. The family takes solace in the community of friends and extended family who share in their grief and remembrance of Tracy's life.
Tracy's family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Salem Church of Christ, an organization close to her heart. This gesture will honor Tracy's lifelong commitment to her faith and her community.
In the words of her family, "Tracy loved her family and always put them first, continually thinking of others before herself. She loved being a grandmother and adored all her grandkids." Her gentle spirit, compassion, and selflessness will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Tracy's life will be held at a later date to honor her memory and the remarkable impact she had on everyone she met. Until then, may we each carry forward her love and generosity, forever inspired by the way she lived her life with grace and kindness.
