Tracy Lee Buffington, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2026, at Northeast Georgia Hospital after a courageous battle with illness. Born on October 28, 1975, in Gainesville, Georgia, Tracy graced the world with his presence for 50 years, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. Tracy was the cherished son of the late Hendrix and Peggy Buffington, who instilled in him the values of kindness, perseverance, and community. He is predeceased by his sister, Barbara Buffington, and his beloved daughter, Zaria Buffington. Tracy is survived by his devoted wife of 15 years, Selena, and their children, Mia Hudson, Jamari Buffington, and Brooklyn Buffington. He also leaves behind two precious grandchildren, who will carry forward the love and joy he so generously shared. A graduate of East Hall High School, Tracy's journey took him to serve his country with honor in the U.S. Army for eight years. His time in the military was marked by dedication and a steadfast commitment to his fellow soldiers, qualities that he carried throughout his life. Professionally, Tracy found his calling as a mechanic and a dog trainer, combining his passion for cars and animals into a fulfilling career. Known for his skillful hands and gentle demeanor, he could often be found under the hood of a car or with a friendly dog at his side, greeting every pup on the street with a smile and a kind word. His love for the outdoors was evident in his avid fishing and hiking pursuits, never missing a day at the lake or an opportunity to explore nature's wonders. Tracy was a man of immense charm and warmth, known for making everyone he met feel welcome and valued. His laughter was infectious, and his heart, immeasurable. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, leaving a lasting impression on all who were fortunate to know him. In his personal life, Tracy's greatest joy came from his family, to whom he was a constant source of strength and support. His marriage to Selena in February 2011 was a testament to their deep bond and shared adventures, creating a life filled with love and companionship. A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Tracy's life, in keeping with his wishes.
