Tracy Klingsmith

Tracy Klingsmith, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away on September 16, 2026. Born on January 10, 1966, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, Tracy was the cherished son of Rose and the late Bill Klingsmith. Tracy was raised in Jeffersonville, where his early years were enriched by his active involvement at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He dedicated countless hours to guiding young minds as a leader of several scouting groups. His commitment to nurturing the next generation was matched only by his patriotic service to his country in the military. Tracy found joy in the great outdoors. Whether camping under starry skies, reeling in a catch while fishing, or simply tinkering in his backyard, he embraced the beauty of nature. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; children, Casey Ginn (Nathan) and Christopher Klingsmith (Lisa); as well as three grandchildren. Tracy also leaves behind his siblings, Pamela Johnson, Mary Kathleen Wiese, Kevin Klingsmith, and Brian Klingsmith. As Tracy will be laid to rest in Texas, where he was residing at the time of his passing, a memorial visitation service will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd, in Saint Catherine Hall on the Sacred Heart Catholic campus in Jeffersonville. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a small prayer service beginning at 6:45 PM. In memory of Tracy, flowers may be sent to the Sacred Heart Parish Office.
