December 10, 1962 — October 31, 2026

Tracy Gauthier, beloved mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after an extended battle with liver disease. Born on December 10, 1962, in Boston, Massachusetts, Tracy was the cherished daughter of Clifford Gauthier and Lorna (Salo) Gauthier. Tracy's life was a testament to resilience and joy. A graduate of Menomonie High School's class of 1981, she went on to earn a Bachelor's degree from the College of Saint Benedicts. Throughout her life, Tracy embraced various roles, finding particular fulfillment during her time at 3M. Her professional life, however, never overshadowed her most treasured role as a mother to her four children: Jamie Gauthier and Sonya, Jenna, and Scott Crawford. Family was the cornerstone of Tracy's life. She is survived by her children, her devoted mother Lorna, and her siblings: Meri Gauthier, Betsy Gauthier-Koth, Chuck, Greg, and Mike Gauthier. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter Jamie Gauthier, her grandson Luka, her father Clifford, and her niece Caity Jo Curwen. Tracy held a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She delighted in family summer vacations, traversing the country in the family station wagon, and cherished the time spent at the family cabin in the Boundary Waters near Ely, MN. It was here that she passed on the cherished Finnish traditions of fishing, swimming, and taking saunas with her children. Tracy's adventurous spirit extended to ghost hunting escapades with her sister Betsy, watching spooky movies and going on girls outings with friends. Her radiant smile and zest for life left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Tracy was a devoted member of The Celebration Church in Woodbury, MN, where she found community and faith. Tracy's family expresses profound gratitude to her son, Scott, for his unwavering care during her extended illness, and to the compassionate staff at Woodwinds Hospital for their support and dedication during her final days. A private ceremony will be held to honor Tracy's life, in accordance with her wishes. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly suggests donations be made to Friends Of The Boundary Waters Wilderness in Saint Paul, MN, reflecting Tracy's love for the natural world and her treasured cabin retreats. Tracy Gauthier's legacy is one of love, laughter, and enduring strength. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and she will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
