It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tracy Gardner, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this world on July 1, 2026, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born on October 7, 1972, in Louisville, Kentucky, Tracy's life was a testament to love, resilience, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. Tracy was the cherished daughter of Roberta Ann Gummer and Thomas Mosley Gummer. Her upbringing in the vibrant city of Louisville was filled with warmth, music, and the aromas of her mother's kitchen, which inspired her lifelong love of cooking. Tracy's culinary skills were legendary among her family and friends, and her dishes brought joy and comfort to many gatherings. A true embodiment of kindness, Tracy had a heart that was always open to those in need. Her home was a sanctuary for anyone seeking solace, and she never hesitated to lend a helping hand. Her generosity and compassionate spirit touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of love and selflessness that will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her. Tracy had a profound love for gospel music, a passion that resonated deeply within her soul. Tracy's family was her greatest pride and joy. She is survived by her devoted children, Tayron Gardner, Ramome Gardner, Quintrell Gardner, and Le’Ann Gummer, as well as her beloved brother, Lamont Edwards. Tracy's nurturing spirit and wisdom will continue to live on through her five adoring grandchildren, who brought immeasurable happiness and laughter to her life. In honor of Tracy's wishes, a private funeral ceremony will be held to celebrate her life and bid farewell. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace, reunited with those who passed before her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Tracy's memory to organizations dedicated to breast cancer research and support, reflecting her courageous battle and her desire to help others facing similar challenges. Tracy Gardner was a beacon of light and love. Her legacy will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
