Tracey Donice Peters, a beacon of light and love, was born on August 10, 1970, in Conroe, Texas. She passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, surrounded by the family she cherished most. Tracey was the beloved daughter of the late Donnie Gene Rainer and Helen Janiece Russell.
Throughout her life, Tracey embodied resilience, faith, and unconditional love. Her spirit was an inspiration to all who had the privilege of knowing her. As a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, Tracey was a guiding light—a source of strength and comfort to her family and friends.
Tracey leaves behind a legacy that is marked by the miraculous strength and grace she demonstrated every day. She was preceded in death by her parents; her aunt, June Smith; her uncle, Bo Harvey; her cousin, Angie Harvey; her father-in-law, Glen Ragland; her paternal grandparents, Henry David Rainer and Lilly Lee Ray Rainer; and her maternal grandparents, Fred Nathaniel Russell and Mary Alice Coleman Russell.
She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Peters, who stood by her side as her steadfast partner and rock. Together, they built a life enriched by love, laughter, and faith. Tracey is also survived by her six children: Johnathan Rainer, Talitha Hooks, Mari Lewandowski, Matthew Peters, Patricia Peters, and Catherine Peters, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her love also extended to her children-in-law: Bradley Lewandowski, Jeremy Hooks, Kelsey Rainer, and Nick Vassiliou.
As a proud and doting Memaw, Tracey adored her fifteen grandchildren: Jason, Dylan, Jerren, Kattaleiya, Guinevere, William, Dakota, Kennedy, Braylee, Eleana, Parker, Karson, Devina, Austin, and Henrik.
Tracey is also survived by her siblings: Todd and Lisa Rainer, Kenneth and Sally Rainer, Ahna Rainer, and Holly Rainer. Her wide-reaching family includes numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends, all of whom were touched by her wisdom, kindness, and boundless compassion.
A celebration of Tracey’s life will be held on August 1, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Sylvan Beach Park. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity of your choice, honoring Tracey's generous spirit and lifelong commitment to helping others.
Her presence was a blessing, and her legacy will endure through the love she gave, the faith she upheld, and the family she treasured. Tracey Donice Peters will forever remain in our hearts as a testament to love, strength, and unwavering faith.
