In Loving Memory

Torvald Castillo
January 1, 1955 — March 16, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Torvald Castillo, a beloved and cherished member of our family and community, who left this world peacefully on March 16, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on January 1, 1955, in the vibrant and culturally rich island of Trinidad and Tobago, Torvald was a beacon of warmth, strength, and resilience.
Daughter to the late Henry and Elise Townsend, Torvald was the youngest of six children, all of whom have preceded her in death. Though she did not have children of her own, Torvald's nurturing spirit touched the lives of her nieces and nephews, who survive her and carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.
Torvald's life was a tapestry woven with rich experiences and deep connections. She battled cancer with remarkable bravery, facing each day with a smile and an unyielding spirit. Her journey was one of courage, grace, and unwavering faith, inspiring all who knew her.
Her life will be celebrated at a service held in her honor at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, located at #3 George Cabral St, St. James. The service will be a testament to her profound faith and the love she shared with her community. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
In remembering Torvald, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and an enduring faith that sustained her through the challenges she faced. Her memory will forever be a guiding light for her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
May she rest in eternal peace, embraced by the love of those who went before her, and may her soul find comfort in the arms of the angels.
