It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tori Gill, a beloved mother, sister, and friend. Tori peacefully departed this world in her sleep on June 19, 2026, at the age of 38. Born on August 22, 1987, in Onley, Illinois, she was a beacon of light and love to all who knew her. Tori was a dedicated forensic scientist, serving diligently for 14 years with an unwavering commitment to truth and justice. Her passion for her work was only surpassed by her love for her family and her community. A graduate of Mount Carmel, Tori furthered her education by earning a master's degree from the prestigious Haas Berkeley University of California, setting an example of perseverance and excellence. A devoted single mother, Tori's heart was full of love for her three beautiful children—two daughters and a son—who were the center of her universe. She was also a cherished grandmother to three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, each a testament to her nurturing spirit and enduring legacy. Tori is predeceased by her loving parents, Shannon Jordan and Micheal Moody, her grandparents, Jeff and Sondra Gill, and her older brother Tidus, along with his wife, Miranda. She is survived by her dear siblings, Kerra and Nathaniel, and her close friends Lilly, Payton, and Aria, who were like family to her. A woman of deep faith, Tori was an active member of the Catholic Church for 11 years, where she found peace and fulfillment. Her hobbies included baking and cooking, activities she pursued with the same passion she applied to her professional life. Tori loved going on runs and cherished her quiet reading times, moments that provided her with solace and joy. Known for her warm heart and infectious laughter, Tori was a friend to all, making people feel seen, heard, and included. She had an incredible ability to lift spirits with her humor and was always ready with a listening ear and thoughtful advice. Whether through deep conversations or simple acts of kindness, Tori left a lasting impact on everyone she met. A service to honor Tori's life will be held on October 30, 2026, at 6:30 PM at St. Mary's Church, located at 123 Main St. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the Evansville Hospital for the exceptional care provided to Tori. As we mourn Tori's passing, we also celebrate a life well-lived, filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to family and community. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
