Tore Lezette Renee Reid

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tore Lezette Renee Reid, a beloved mother, sister, and friend, who left this world peacefully in her sleep on September 16, 2026. Born on November 12, 1977, in Detroit, Michigan, Tore was a beacon of light and joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Tore was the cherished daughter of the late Pearl and Alvin Reid, and she rejoins them in eternal rest, along with her siblings Barbra and Tony. Her legacy of love and laughter lives on through her surviving siblings Marsha Lane, Jerry Reid, Dewayne Reid, and Darlene Reid. Tore was a devoted mother to her children Dejuan Reid, Dion Reid, Kayla Rogers, and Zakiyah Ward, and a loving grandmother to seven adored grandchildren. A proud graduate of Murray-Wright High School's class of 1995, Tore carved out a fulfilling career as an auctioneer, a role she approached with dedication and enthusiasm. Her work transporting vehicles was more than a job; it was a passion that she poured her heart into. Tore's vibrant personality was infectious. Known for her optimism and her ability to light up any room, she was a kindhearted, funny, and outgoing spirit whose presence was a gift to all who knew her. Tore could always be counted on for a good laugh and was known for her silly and goofy demeanor that endeared her to many. Her interests were as varied as they were enjoyable. Tore loved listening to music, watching movies, and engaging in spirited games of spades, pool, chess, and video games. She cherished taking long walks and engaging in lively conversations, or as she affectionately called it, "yapping." Tore leaves behind a loving extended family including her aunties Sonya Smith, Laura Meeks, and Karen Meeks, as well as her dear honorary brother Timothy Price, nieces and nephews Nastasia Price-Green, Erin Price-Duffy, Ephron Price, Imiani Price, Issac Price, Steven Lane, Anthony Lane, and many more in Detroit who will miss her dearly. A service celebrating Tore's life will be held on October 3, 2026, at 12:00 PM at the Griffin/Leggett Funeral Home, located at 587 Fish Lane, Conway, Arkansas. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Hospice Home Care Center in Little Rock, Arkansas, for their compassionate care. A special thank you goes to Nurse Suzette for her nurturing spirit and dedication to Tore's comfort in her final days. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations made in Tore's memory to a charity of your choice, reflecting her generous spirit and love for all. Tore's legacy is one of love, laughter, and light. She touched the hearts of many and leaves behind a tapestry of cherished memories. While we mourn her passing, we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the joy she brought into our lives.
