In Loving Memory

Tonya Mae Brock
September 17, 1952 — April 11, 2026
In loving memory, we honor the life of Tonya Mae Brock, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who departed this world on April 11, 2026, at the age of 73. Born on September 17, 1952, in the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia, Tonya was a beacon of love and grace, leaving an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know her.
Tonya's journey was defined by her unwavering faith and boundless compassion. A devoted Christian, she spent her life serving others, embodying the teachings of her faith through both words and actions. As a traveling evangelist with The Way, The Truth, and The Life Christian Center, she carried the message of hope and redemption across communities, touching countless lives with her kindness and wisdom.
Tonya was not just a member of her church; she was a pillar. Her commitment to her faith extended beyond the walls of the sanctuary, as she actively participated in Christians Without Borders, tirelessly working to extend love and support to those in need. Whether she was driving individuals to medical appointments or volunteering at local shelters, Tonya's heart was always open, her hands always reaching out to help.
Her warmth and generosity were matched by her love for her family. She is survived by her beloved children, Sebrina Taylor and Eric Brock, who were the pride and joy of her life. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren: Cameron Brock, Laprecious Brock, Derrick Brock, Antonio Brock, Eric Brock Jr., and Erica Brock. Each of them carries forward the values and love that Tonya imparted so freely.
Tonya is preceded in death by her loving sisters, Sandra Hood and Irene Brock, whose spirits she now reunites with in peace. She was the beloved daughter of Mary Ann Brock, who shaped her into the extraordinary woman she became.
The family extends special gratitude to the staff at Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care during Tonya's final days. Your kindness and support have been a blessing during this difficult time.
A service to celebrate Tonya's remarkable life will be held on April 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors, located at 206 E Pine St, Swainsboro, GA 30401. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life beautifully lived and a soul forever cherished.
As we say goodbye, we hold Tonya's memory close, knowing that she remains "forever in our hearts." Her legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire us all. May she rest in eternal peace.
